March 24, 2012

8:00 am for individual runners
10:00 am for Mud Run Teams

Bibs and D-tags will be mailed to most registrants just prior to race date.  All team bibs will be mailed to each team captain.  If your bib is not mailed to you, it can be picked up race morning beginning at 6:30 AM at Freeman Stadium. Safety pins will be available race morning in the bib pickup area.

The Mud Run is an approximate five mile loop course beginning and ending at Freeman Stadium on the CSUMB campus. The course is partially on the road and partially on trails and includes hills, water, obstacles, five foot walls and four mud pits. You will get wet and you will get muddy. You'll be able to run through a shower just before entering the finish area and be sure to bring towels and a change of clothing.

From Highway 101 take 156 west (the Monterey Peninsula exit) to Highway 1 south. Take the CSU Monterey Bay/Ft. Ord Main Entrance exit. You will cross back over the highway onto Light Fighter Drive. From there, signage and personnel will be on hand beginning at 6:30 AM to direct you to parking.

Participants may compete as individuals or as part of a 5-person team. Individuals may compete as civilians or as military. Team categories include:

  • Open Male
  • Open Female
  • Mixed
  • Corporate
  • Military
  • Public Safety
  • Collegiate

You must be 15 years of age or older and in good health to participate.
If you are part of team, all five team members must cross the finish line TOGETHER to compete for awards!

WAVE START Both individuals and teams will start in separate waves.  Due to the narrowness of the trails in several areas, this will help prevent crowding.  Winning times will be based on TAG time, not GUN time, so it is possible for individual runners in the second wave and teams in the fourth wave to place in the event.

Overall winner awards will be given to the top male and female individual finishers in both civilian and military categories. Divisional awards will go three deep in 10 year age groups after 15-19.  Awards will also be given to the top three teams in all categories (open male, open female, mixed, corporate, military, public safety, and collegiate). The awards ceremony will be held in Freeman Stadium at 9:30 AM for individuals and 11:30 AM for teams.

Non-refundable and non-transferable. Once we accept your entry, you will not receive a refund if you cannot participate. You may not give or sell your number to anyone else.  No bandits!

An automated confirmation email is generated at the time of registration. If you do not receive an email confirmation it may be due to spam filters or firewalls on your computer. Entries may also be confirmed online at the registration link within 24 hours of registering.
